Often it's really desirable to insert an image into your blog post or other content. You want the images inserted inline with the text, not just tagged at the end.
To do that here at the Appropedia forums,
maestro: My son (I just did this here), click on the "Add image" link text below the edit window for the content.
Hope that works, and let me know (click my photo, then contact me) if it doesn't!

At Chris Watkins's urging, I have dug around and found ways to add more MediaWiki-style formatting capabilities to the Appropedia forums. Find out more at the new help page
.
Still missing: the "nowiki" directive, to turn off formatting. It's trickier than it sounds!

Hi out there in Appropedia Land!
This is the first Appropedia blog post I've written since the site has gone semi-live. I wrote and deleted several test blogs where I was messing around with formatting extensions. But now it's time to actually talk to all y'all! (That's my fake Southern US accent...I travel to Houston now and then, and the waitresses talk like that there, but I think they are really just doing it because they can tell I'm from out of town.)

You can use the [[Page name]] and [[Page name|link text]] formatting for wikilinks now.
(The custom filters which translate that syntax into links were cleverly disabled for this page.)
