Great, thanks Curt!

I think the default should be chronological (oldest first) and threaded. That's my inclination.

 The comment control panel would be better at the bottom if possible.

I also like the idea of a reply box at the bottom. More inviting for comments, and reduces the likelihood of someone replying to the original post by clicking "reply" on the bottom comment.
